Why do stories matter?

One question I had last night was “What makes a good pitch vs. a bad pitch?”.

✅My answer - “A bad pitch is leading with numbers and figures. A good pitch starts with a story.”

💜Stories immediately hooks your audience with a feeling.

🤝Feelings leads to connection.

.

🔑Connection leads to trust.

.

💰Trust leads to investors/customers/followers .

I did my first virtual presentation last night for @seachangeohio and their affiliate partner LEAP (a LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 entrepreneurial accelerator program through @stonewallcolumbus) about The Power of Storytelling. I had so much fun meeting those in the program and I can’t wait to see their progress.

Any other advice for these folks on what makes a good pitch vs bad pitch??
